principles: Control, Concentration, Centring, Precision, Breath & Flowing movements. Pilates
helps to strengthen the body with an emphasis on core strength. Practicing can help to improve
flexibility, balance, and general health and fitness. A low impact exercise it can help
rehabilitate, recover from and prevent injury.
Yoga is not simply a physical exercise but an ancient practice to balance the body, mind &
breath. In today's fast paced society many people are turning to yoga to help improve both their
mind as well as the physical body. Yoga uses physical exercise, breathing techniques and
relaxation to balance & heal the body. It is increasingly being used to prevent sports injury,
rehabilitate the body and maintaining fitness & health.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy that works to relieve stress in the whole body through the feet, face, or hands. It is based on the theory that the reflexes in the feet, hands or face correspond to glands and organs in the body. Maternity Reflexology Maternity reflexology can help the body cope with the many physical, hormonal and emotional changes that your body goes through during pregnancy. This can include fatigue, nausea, headaches, backache and other conditions associated with pregnancy. Reflexology has been known to help n alleviate or prevent these common complaints and maintain balance during the rapidly changing stages of pregnancy. Research has shown that regular reflexology treatments during pregnancy can shorten the duration of labour, & pain of labour.

Mums can enjoy a 35 min reflexology treatment followed by a demonstration of reflexology techniques that they can use at home on baby. This is a lovely treatment as a gift for a new parent. Hormonal Balance reflexology Reflexology can be very useful for all the changing times in a females life from menarche to menopause and beyond. My extensive experience working with woman of all ages has helped me to create a unique package. Along with a reflexology treatment you will receive nutritional, exercise and relaxation advice to help to balance hormones and give you back your zest for life.
This treatment can include postural analysis, deep tissue massage, stretching, trigger point therapy, cross fibre massage, dry needling and many more techniques. I have learned from my previous experience that the soft tissues heal best with manual therapy and rehabilitation exercises. I aim to spend 75% of the treatment working directly on the client The other 25% will be spent either going through remedial exercises that will help you with your issue or injury, or answering any questions you may have on how to best facilitate healing.

Ear candling is a traditional treatment that uses Flax or cotton hollow tubes or candles that are impregnated with essential oils, The candles work to help draw impurities out of the ears and can help to:

Ear candling should not be used in the case of a perforated ear drum, foreign objects in the ear or an ear infection.

It’s almost September, that time of year when the summer holiday’s end and we start afresh with great intentions.
This is what my Dad would say every year as we returned home from holidays. I never understood (as a child I didn’t like porridge). What he meant was that a normal routine would resume once more in our house with set times for everything like dinner and bed. Gone were the holidays of no school and no routine.
September is one of those dates in the calendar were we often set new intentions. Starting a new school year or signing up for a new hobby or class. Many sign up for a new yoga, Pilates or exercise class in September often falling off by Halloween. Consistency is key, I tell all my student 10 minutes a day is better than a one-hour class per week. This is why I have included a free downloadable movement and habit tracker for you. It will guide you to 10min of yoga or Pilates everyday for the month of September. It also allows you to track your daily nutritional habits and one more habit that you want to include for your wellbeing.

As we look towards the festive season we want to look and feel good. For me that is more about health and fitness than weight loss only. My new Fabulous for the Festive Season is a 5 week challenge starting on the 9th November to 15th December, finishing just in time for Christmas.

The start of January is when many of us take stock of the year that has passed and make plans for the future.
Firstly I would like you to acknowledge and congratulate yourself on all that you have achieved in 2022. There may have been hard times but you have survived and are ready to start 2023.
For all of you wanting to achieve better health & fitness we have the perfect way to start this with a 7 day core Pilates & yoga challenge starting on the 1st of January. January will also see the launch of the latest workshop on hormonal balance & the menopause. The current workshops for dancers, camogie and football will also be available again in the first few months of 2023.
Online classes will start back on 2nd January and in person classes on 9th January.

This unique hybrid level 3 reflexology training course allows you to study at your own pace.
The course is a mix of online and in person training allowing you to fit in study between
your personal and work life. Accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists, on
completion you can register with the CHNC allowing you to work in both the private sector or
in a hospital or hospice setting.
The course covers the history, benefits and treatment of thermo-auricular therapy. You will
learn how to safely use ear candles along with a facial massage routine to help drain the
sinuses. The course is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and is open to
all existing complementary therapists. It can be taken live online or in person.
This active IQ level 3 mat work Pilates course will provide learners with a professional
level of skills and knowledge to enable them to design, plan and deliver safe and effective
Pilates classes. It is a hybrid of online and in person teaching allowing you the time to
practice and learn at your own pace.
The 200hr yoga teacher training course explore all aspect of yoga. The aim of the course is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to successfully plan and deliver yoga classes and one to one teaching. The course is delivered both online and in person to fit in with your busy lifestyle. On completion the successful completion the student can register with Yoga Alliance professionals UK as a 200hr Yoga teacher. Specialised advanced training available on request.
This course is for qualified reflexologists to give them the skills and knowledge they need
to confidently and successfully treat both male and female clients for fertility issues.

There are a range of course from Calm Confident Kids. All courses are a hybrid of online and
live training. These courses are ideal for sure start staff, classroom assistants, teachers
and those who work with or wish to work with children. All class material is available in
both English and Irish.
Playing sports I was often stiff and sore after training and matches so decided to try yoga with Elaine. Working in a friendly environment with a helpful instructor I not only found myself recovering quicker and with improved flexibility, but also enjoyed the therapeutic benefits that yoga brought.
Our son attended reflexology with Elaine for the first time today and it was fabulous! The results have been amazing after just a few hours as our son has successfully been able to go to the toilet on his own, which in our house is a very big deal!! Cannot thank Elaine enough she was brilliant when working with our son while also showing me a lot of tips for home, alongside a booklet for us to follow. Happy baby going to bed tonight which results in a very happy mummy and daddy can’t wait to bring him back already!
I would highly recommend Elaine’s Classes, I attend her Yoga and Pilates classes and find them brilliant she is an excellent tutor and let’s her students develop at their own pace and feel calm & relaxed , she is also a lovely lady
We really enjoyed the yoga session as Elaine was very approachable and extremely helpful. She handed out booklets at the end of the session which was specific to our group (Pilates and Yoga for Dancers). This was a step by step guide to the exercises we completed in the session, which we found helpful as it is often to much to remember! Calm confident Kids has been coming into Kilronan School to deliver a yoga programme for pupils aged 17-19 years with a range of educational needs.
Elaine creates a calm positive atmosphere where the young people can relax and engage in their yoga session. Elaine has the ability to cater for each individual student to ensure they reach their full potential throughout the sessions. At the end of the sessions the young people are relaxed, engaged and ready to continue with their learning throughout the rest of the day. Not only have our young people been able to experience a new leisure activity, they have also been able to experience breathing techniques which they can apply to aspects throughout their daily life, creating further independence
